Shillong : The Deputy Commissioner (Supply), West Garo Hills Tura has informed that under the Provision of National Food Security Act (NFSA), 2013 no government servants are entitled to get the benefit of the scheme as it is strictly meant for the households belonging to the poorest of the poor and other weaker sections of the society.
It has come to the knowledge of the authority that the names of some government officials are included in the existing list of beneficiaries as per Socio Economic Caste Census (SECC) 2011.
Therefore, in order to implement NFSA, 2013 successfully, all government officials who possessed the Priority Household (PHH) under NFSA, 2013 are hereby requested to surrender their PHH cards so that the poor and the needy beneficiaries can be facilitated under this Act.
Likewise, the Fair Price shop dealer and vigilance committee of respective centres are also directed to surrender the same if such cases are detected in their respective centres. (MIPR)
