Shillong : The District Magistrate, West Khasi Hills District has promulgated an order under Section 144 CrPC prohibiting the use of glass-coated, metal, plastic and other sharp Manja thread in the shops within the jurisdiction of West Khasi Hills District.
This order is necessitated in pursuance of the circular order issued by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Changes, Government of India prohibiting the selling and using of glass-coated, metal, plastic and other sharp Manja thread.
This order shall come into force with immediate effect. (MIPR)
