Shillong: Sainik School Goalpara, Assam will conducting the All India Sainik School Entrance Examination (AISSEE) for classes VI and IX for the students of Assam, Meghalaya and Sikkim for the session, 2016-17.

The sale of prospectus and application forms at Sainik School, Goalpara will be from 12th October, 2015 till 21st November, 2015 and the last date of submission of forms will be on the 30th November, 2015. The entrance examination will be conducted on 3rd  January, 2016, publication of merit list for interview and medical examination on the 6th January, 2016. Interview and medical examination from 18thFebruary, 2016 to 5th March, 2016 and the publication of final merit list and the admission based on merit list will be on the 14th March, 2016 and 31st March, 2016 respectively.

Shillong: The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Group, Shillong is organizing a Two Day Seminar on the 28th and 29th September, 2015 at St. Anthony’s College Auditorium, Shillong.

Meghalaya Deputy Chief Minister, Dr. R. C. Laloo will be the Chief Guest at the Seminar. Other dignitaries including officials from the Education Department and the NCC will also be attending the Seminar.

The basic aim of the Seminar is to spread maximum awareness amongst the heads of educational institutions, the ANOs and CTOs, regarding the various facets of NCC and their responsibilities towards the same.

It may be mentioned that this Seminar is the first of its kind and will go a long way in tapping the potential of the students in the overall development of the youth of Meghalaya and enable them to increase their contribution towards Nation Building and joining the Armed Forces. (MIPR)
