Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School celebrates its 94th Foundation Day

Shillong : The Laban Bengalee Boys’ Higher Secondary School (LBBHSS), Shillong today celebrated its 94th Foundation Day at Laban, Shillong wherein Shri Vincent H. Pala, Member of Parliament graced the occasion as Chief Guest.

“Scoring good marks is important but it is also equally important to acquire and practice good behaviour and imbibe the spirit of brotherhood, unity and integrity amongst the fellow citizens. The art of respecting others and knowing oneself starts from school days and it is during these days that a person is moulded into becoming a successful and respectable person in the society” said Shri Vincent H. Pala. He urged the school authorities and the students to work in unison towards achieving the pinnacle of success and for the betterment of the society.

During the day long programme, Shri Vincent H. Pala inaugurated a Kailash Mancha Auditorium and a Mandir inside the school premises and also felicitated the senior most alumni of the school, Prof. Subir Bijoy Sengupta. The Chief Guest also distributed prizes to the school students who have excelled in the field of sports and academics.

The President, Managing Committee, LBBHSS, Dr. S. K. Chattopadhyay, Member, Managing Committee, LBBHSS, Shri S. R. Choudhury and Social Activist, Shri Naba Bhattacharjee were among others who spoke on the occasion.
