List of polling stations published

Shillong: The Returning Officer, West Garo Hills District has published the list of polling stations for 6-Barengapara, 7-Babelapara, 8-Amongpara, 9-Tura, 10-Dengnakpara, 15-Rochonpara, 16-Asanang, 17-Balachanda, 18-Batabari, 19-Shyamnagar, 20-Raksamgre, 21-Naguapara and 22-Jengjal GHADC Constituencies under West Garo Hills District. The detailed lists of polling stations, polling areas can be obtained from the office of the Returning Officer, West Garo Hills District. (MIPR)

Notification

Shillong: The Government of Meghalaya has constituted a Committee consisting of Shri M Kharmujai, Secretary, Revenue & Disaster Management Department as the Chairman, Shri P S Dkhar, Deputy Commissioner, East Khasi Hills District as Member and a representative from Law Department also as a Member to examine the excess land of the present lease holders.

The Committee shall look into the issues relating to renewal of Lease Agreement in respect of lease holders where the actual land is more in area than that area mentioned in the Lease Agreement after re-survey. The Committee shall come up with concrete suggestion on how to settle wasteland/excess land within one month. (MIPR)

Diengdoh has been appointed as Electoral Roll Observer for the current Special Summary Revision of Electoral Rolls with reference to 01.01.2016 as the qualifying date in East Khasi Hills District.
