What Kills Humanity?

Diseases don’t kill man directly. His ignorance to take care of himself doesn’t it? Bombs don’t kill many soldiers in war but the idea of killing many with one strike does since a bullet doesn’t do the job with a single shot. Poverty simply doesn’t make a country poor; greed and laziness balance each other to justify it, creating imbalance and making a country poor. Those with wealth gain power and control giving rise to thieves who steal from the rich.

We create our own illusions and our situations. Through our subconscious, we want to project into the environment what we want. For example, a failed relationship between two people is because of ego and miscommunication. Even the idea of unfaithfulness can lead to the end of a relationship since everyone has their own trust issues.

Humanity kills itself by its own thought. This fuels a great deal of negativity by disempowered positivity, since humans in our true nature manifest negativity because positivity is something that we have to prove after a certain criteria. Positivity is the truth and no one can handle the truth in the first instance since it hurts, which is why it’s hard to accept it.

Humans aim high to realise their goals but when they can’t achieve them, lies, frustration and depression follow, which, if unchecked, can cause them to lead miserable lives. Humanity assumes that the possession of wealth and materialism is the true form of happiness. We forget that we can create our own happiness and that peace is the highest form and is achievable by being non-materialistic. Sadly, everyone wants to possess something to help define themselves.

Nature has already provided us what we need to survive. But our greed to amass wealth makes us possess more, creating unhappiness for those who have nothing but their own selves. We create, invent and innovate things to make our lives easier but it comes at the cost of nature. Mining destroys nature and urbanisation distances us from nature causing us to live in stressful environments that create unhappiness. We strive to have more money in order to satisfy our greed, we wear clothes made from the skin of animals and shoes to cater to our fancy lifestyles but, sadly, we lose our inner peace and have trouble maintaining our false image to the public. We can’t bear to wear shame as it conflicts with our greed and egoistic nature. But, we are a part of nature’s creation even though our ego makes us forget it.

Technology can exist harmoniously with earth yet humanity is disconnected from nature itself. The earth is now like a giant brain similar to what Nikola Tesla predicted. Connections form like neurons, passing messages to and from each other, driving humans to become lazy. We record ourselves with numerous selfies but we know little about ourselves. Our eyes remain close for we see the world through the small screen of a phone, tablet and computer. Humanity is killing itself, first by its own thought and later with its creation.
