The women of Manbij have been taking off their burqas and burning them as men cut off their beards in celebration over their new freedom from ISIS after the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) successfully defeated and drove out the Jihadist from the Syrian City.

The victory came on on Friday which also included the rescuing of 2000 civilians which were used as Human Shields.

Manjib is a strategic city that acts as a transit point between the Turkish border and Raqqa, the Syrian City.

The SDF started their assault since May 31 along with US-led coalition forces and after two and a half month Manbij was liberated.
