South West Garo Hills Deputy Commissioner Cyril V Darlong Diengdoh who inaugurated the competition commended the organizers and stated that such events were a great platform for students to learn and sharpen their minds. He said that learning is the first facet of a learned individual and urged the students to read up more to stay updated on current affairs.

The Deputy Commissioner while emphasizing on the need for students to participate more in such events said that learning should never stop. Everyone should not forget to learn from their
elders, age old traditions, beliefs and practices that have been transferred from one generation to another.
