Tura: The GSU CEC organised a felicitation program for Garo toppers in the recently announced SSLC and HSSLC results at St. Xavier’s School, Tura, in which 7 students from Garo Hills featured in the top spots of both the SSLC and HSSLC merit list.

The felicitation programme was hosted by Sister Remo, Principal of St Xavier’s School, Tura, and was attended by students and teachers and members of the GSU and NESO.

The president of the GSU, Tengsak G. Momin, in a statement said “We hope that this trend of educational achievements will continue every year. The union also wishes all the toppers a bright future and hopes that they continue their dedication, discipline and perseverance to achieve high standards in future and be an inspiration to all youngsters that students of Garo Hills can achieve great things too.”

The GSU president also said that the aim of the felicitation programme was to encourage the youngsters and have them understand that a child without education is like a bird without wings. We are excited and very hopeful that the schools and colleges of Garo Hills will churn out more toppers in the future, concluded the statement.
