Shillong : The Prime Minister of India, Shri. Narendra Modi was given a warm send off by Meghalaya Chief Minister Dr. Mukul Sangma, Meghalaya Governor Shri.V. Shanmuganathan and other officials at ALG, Upper Shillong at the end of his two day visit to Shillong.
The Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his stay in Shillong, on Friday, was treated to an evening of brief, but enthralling cultural show at the State Convention Centre. The versatile, multi-genre singing group of Shillong – Shillong Chamber Choir captivated the VVIP audience with their inimitable performance, while NEZCC presented “Colours of the North East” – a blend of colourful cultural dances from the eight states of the region. The cultural evening was organized in honour of the Prime Minister by NEC and Union Ministry of DoNER.
This mornig the Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi visited Mattilang Amusement Park, Upper Shillong and Heritage Village at Mawphlang.
The Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi was accompanied by Shri V. Shanmuganathan, Governor of Meghalaya, Dr. Mukul Sangma, Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union MoS DoNER, Shri Zenith Sangma, Meghalaya Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs and senior government officials during the sightseeing.
