State Level Workshop on Swachh Vidyalaya and SMCs Training Module held

Shillong: A Two Day State Level Workshop on Swachh Vidyalaya and SMCs Training Module was held on the 15th October, 2015 at MIIT, Holy Cross, Brookedene, Dhankheti, Shillong. The workshop was organized by the State Project Office, State Education Mission Authority Meghalaya, Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan.

Principal Secretary, Education & State Mission Director, SEMAM (SSA), P. K. Srivastava graced the inaugural function as the Chief Guest.

Speaking at the inaugural function, P. K. Srivastava said that the workshop will provide the necessary platform for the master trainers in spreading the message of cleanliness. He encouraged the participants to carry on the message to their respective Districts, Blocks Schools and make Swachh Vidyalaya, a successful one. He also said that everyone should hold the responsibility of taking forward the aims and objectives of the Campaign and added that, “everyone’s responsibility has to be everyone’s responsibility”.

F. R. Kharkongor, Secretary, Education & State Project Director, SEMAM (SSA) delivered the welcome address while Jennyfer J. Synrem, State Community/Gender Coordinator, SEMAM (SSA) offered the vote of thanks.
